Our Director: Mary Evelyn Wilson is excited to be the director of Coastal Early Childhood Center. She is a Level III administrator with the state and has been in the early childhood field for 15 years.  She holds a BA in Elementary Education from East Carolina University and specializes in education and curriculum for preschool children and staff. Her ideal working environment, like CECC itself, is a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for your child built around parent/child needs and open communication. Our Staff: Our experienced staff is here for the sole purpose of providing your child a nurturing environment.  Our teachers are credentialed and well trained with experience in developmentally appropriate practice in the classroom.  The teachers have been chosen because of their enthusiasm for educating and nurturing young children, as well as a genuine love for the children.  The teacher is responsible for weekly lesson plans which are geared to stimulate learning development, exploration, and creativity.
